PS3 won't have the chance to be shoplifted...

In order to shoplift an item, that item has to be in a store. PS3 is not going to be n the shelves long enough if at all this year. 400,000 units is a joke for the US market. Preoreders are not going to get the job done.

How the heck did that happen...

When it comes to security there are two distinct schools. Preventive posturing and the pounce from hiding. They both have their merits. Sensormatic systems offer the preventive posturing that will keep thieves from attempting to shoplift. The hidden pounce comes when a guard watches shoplifters on a dome camera and nabs them as they pass thru the door. When the two schools meet shoplifters are dead meat.

Shoplifting Video Game Makes Retailers Mad...

I'm not talking about mothers against drunk driving. Retailers are up in arms about a new video game that is glorifying shoplifting according to various merchant associations. The game depicts an adolescent male in the suburbs who accrues goods and cash by shoplifting from retail stores and fencing the booty. For obvious reasons retailers do not want this shoplifting simulator from being mass released. The feeling is that teens will not only mimic the game but that shoplifters skills will be sharpened much as a flight simulator helps in the training of pilots. Certain stores in the game even have antishoplifting EAS equipment which must be circumvented. Just ridiculous!

Yes HD is available on Direct TV...

I would like to apologize to YES and Direct TV for falsely claiming that they where depriving New Yorkers of high definition Yankee bliss. Channel 95 ladies and gentlemen. HD and Yankees go together like peanut butter and jelly even on direct TV. HDTV you are so beautiful to me. Can't you see.

HDTV me back home...

The warden lead the prisoner down the hallway to his doom. I stood up to say goodbye like all the rest. I heard him tell the warden just before he reached my cell. "Let my HDTV watching friend describe an awesome HDTV nature scene or sporting event". HDTV can make my old memories come alive. It can turn back the years and make you feel like your back home. A nice long HDTV session is a great last request. Provided you have cable not satellite and can therefore watch the Yankees on yes HD.
